Who We Are
The British Association of Spine Surgeons actively promotes the study of spinal disorders with particular attention to the surgical treatment of spinal disease and disorders.
What We Do
BASS organise conferences, educational events and training, provide access the journals and the British Spine Registry. We review national policies and guidelines, provide a useful resource for trainee spinal surgeons and review private practice changes on behalf of our members.

Members are connected to our professional membership through member forums to discuss a wide range of spine topics. You may also opt-in for your membership and details to be listed in public pages.
Reduced fees for Annual Scientific and Educational Conferences
The biennial BASS and BritSpine Conferences provides quality education and networking for members and delegates. As a member you receive a discount on the attendance fees. Members can contribute to the meeting content, submit/present abstracts and enhance their professional development.
We also provide complimentary places at conferences for Trainee members
(CPD points accredited from the Royal College of Surgeons of England)

Membership of the BASS also includes affiliation to the United Kingdom Spine Societies Board (www.UKSSB.com) who produce newsletters and communicate to memberships on behalf of constituent spine societies.
